Therapist

REGISTERED PYSCHOTHERAPIST (QUALIFYING)

Hi there, my name is Darlington and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I also work as a casual Roman Catholic Priest at Unity Health and I am also the pastor of Our Lady of Loudes Catholic Church in Cardiff, Ontario. I was born and raised in Nigeria. Throughout my studies I have obtained a degree in Philosophy, a B.A. in Religion and Cultural Studies, an M.A. in Theology and a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies with Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Knox College at the University of Toronto. I have also completed my 2nd advanced unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, where I provided psycho spiritual therapy to clients experiencing various health challenges, grief, and loss.

Approach to Therapy

I have a passion to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who identify with other faith traditions. I am trained to provide clients with spiritual, emotional and psychotherapeutic support using evidence-based treatments in holistic ways.

"Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”
