Karyn is a compassionate and empathetic Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Social Sciences in Counselling from Hong Kong. She has extensive experience supporting individuals across diverse age groups, gained through years of work in non-profit organizations. Having lived abroad and relocated to Canada in 2024, she deeply understands the challenges of starting anew in unfamiliar environments, particularly for Hong Kongers navigating displacement and unresolved trauma.

 

Karyn specializes in helping clients overcome stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, and gambling addiction. She fosters a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can explore their emotions, face vulnerabilities, and connect with their inner selves at their own pace. Drawing from person-centered theory, Karyn offers unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding to support clients in achieving personal growth and self-actualization.

 

Her trauma-informed, humanistic approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including person-centered therapy (PCT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and family systems.. Karyn provides psychotherapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, supporting individuals and families as they navigate their unique paths toward healing and resilience.
