Hi, I’m Meryl (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Canadian Art Therapist. I offer therapy in English and Tagalog, and I’m committed to co-creating a safe, empowering, and judgment-free space—especially for those carrying trauma, navigating transitions, or feeling overwhelmed.

As a Filipino immigrant and woman of colour, I bring both lived experience and 9 years of clinical practice into the heart of my work. I understand how validating it is to feel seen without having to explain who you are or why something matters. My approach is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed values and shaped by collaboration, curiosity, and cultural humility.

I integrate Art Therapy, Somatic (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy), Narrative Therapy, and EMDR. I’ve supported clients in shelters, schools, and community organizations, including survivors of gender-based violence, systemic oppression, and those involved in sex work—by choice or coercion.

Supporting new mothers is close to my heart. After my own home birth following a caesarean, I became passionate about informed choice and the importance of autonomy in birth.

Clients often say they feel seen and free to express themselves—through words, art, or quiet reflection. I’m here to walk with you as you reconnect with your body, story, and strength.

"Recovery can only take place within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation"
