Meryl Calaguas Taylor
Hi, I’m Meryl (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Canadian Art Therapist offering sessions in English and Tagalog. I’m passionate about co-creating a safe, empowering space—especially for those navigating life's heavier moments including trauma, and life transitions. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in connection. My goal is to walk alongside you with care, creativity, and compassion.
As a Filipino immigrant and woman of colour, I bring both lived experience and 9 years of clinical experience into my work. I understand how validating it can be to feel seen without having to explain who you are or why something matters. My approach is grounded in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed values, and shaped by collaboration, curiosity, and cultural humility.
With over six years of experience working with youth (12+) and adults, I integrate Art Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, and person-centred care. I’ve supported clients in shelters, schools, and community organizations, including survivors of gender-based violence, postpartum challenges, systemic oppression, and those involved in sex work—by choice or coercion.
Clients often tell me they feel safe to show up fully—whether through words, images, or quiet reflection. I’m here to support you as you reconnect with your story, body, and voice.
