Christa Manouk
My name is Christa, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University and an Honours Bachelor of Science, specializing in Mental Health Studies, from the University of Toronto. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked with trauma survivors as a social worker, crisis line responder, and on-campus student emergency team responder.
Starting therapy is a big and brave step, and I recognize the strength it takes to reach out for support. I strive to create a welcoming and safe space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, heard, understood, and supported.
I believe in meeting clients where they are and helping them explore their thoughts, process their emotions, and find their own path toward healing and growth. Whether you are navigating relationships, managing anxiety, coping with life transitions, grief, or living with chronic pain, I am committed to walking alongside you. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by expectations, struggling with perfectionism, or thinking, “I should be able to handle this on my own.” Therapy can provide a space to step back from these pressures, better understand yourself, and develop healthier ways of coping. I primarily use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Family Systems Therapy (FST), tailoring my approach to each client’s needs and goals. When desired and requested by the client, faith may also be thoughtfully integrated into therapy in a way that aligns with their beliefs and values.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family, creating art, leading church youth programs, reading, and listening to podcasts. These activities help me stay grounded, and I hope to help clients discover practical tools that support their well-being and self-care.
