Mary Mativo
As a Master of Arts in Clinical Counselling student, I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported in your healing journey. I walk alongside clients with empathy and respect, helping them navigate life’s challenges with courage and hope.
My background in counselling and applied theology shapes a holistic and integrative approach to care. I bring experience supporting individuals across diverse communities in Kenya and Canada through ministry, caregiving, and community outreach. These experiences have deepened my commitment to cultural humility and to honouring each person’s unique story.
I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, low self-esteem, and family-of-origin concerns, and I offer Christian counselling for those who wish to integrate faith into their healing. My approach is collaborative and client-centred, drawing from CBT, Family Systems, and Solution-Focused approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.
I believe healing begins in a space where you are fully known and accepted. If you are seeking support, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
